Editorial policy
Select Racing Journal aims to make horse racing easier to read without overstating what an article can establish. We explain our approach to accuracy, independence, corrections and commissioned material here.
Accuracy and sources
We check factual claims against appropriate, identifiable sources and take care with terminology and context. When a subject depends on a particular jurisdiction, event or current rule, we make that scope clear rather than presenting it as universal. We do not promise that every detail will remain current indefinitely.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for reader interest and clarity. A commercial relationship does not buy a favourable opinion or control over independent editorial conclusions. We aim to distinguish explanation, commentary and promotional material plainly.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or unclear passage, please use the Contact page and identify the article and detail. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making substantive changes clear where appropriate.
Partner and sponsored material
Paid placements and partner contributions are labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial coverage. Partner links or placements do not imply endorsement, and editorial articles remain separate from promotional copy.
The details are part of the race
Select Racing Journal looks beyond the finish to the words, places and customs that make racing legible and memorable.
